Prosciutto with Mozzarella & Melon

Every time there is entertaining, I like to start with something simple and fun with just a hint of elevation. Spring is more than in the air, bringing with it the urge to find fresh meal ideas and tasty treats that are colorful and light – this appetizer does not disappoint.

Although all soft in texture, the unique combination of flavors leaves you wanting more than one skewer. The prosciutto and melon brings a saltiness, where the sweet melon and balsamic reduction balance out for a refreshing starter to any meal or party.

Prosciutto with Mozzarella & Melon


4 oz Prosciutto
8 oz Fresh Mozzarella
1/2 Cantaloupe, cut into 3/4″ squares
Balsamic Reduction for Drizzle
Bamboo Skewers


Assemble skewers with Prosciutto, mozzarella ball and cantaloupe square. Arrange on platter and drizzle with balsamic reduction. Add a sprinkle of sea salt or Himalayan salt if desired for flavor.
